Winsted Hospital for Animals is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant/CSR who loves to be a part of all the areas of the hospital. Requirements

  • Animal restraint, venipuncture, and nursing care
  • Professional phone etiquette with a client-friendly approach
  • Computer proficiency required; Avimark experience preferred
  • Accurate medical records and dictation skills needed
  • Positive, personable attitude
  • Time management and ability to multitask
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and empathy
  • Appreciation for both animals and people

  • Avimark experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care, monitor vital signs, and administer medications
  • Assist with patient appointments and client education
  • Perform lab work, radiographs, and other diagnostic tests
  • Educate pet owners on treatment plans and home care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Support hospital cleanliness, safety, and organization
