The Surgery Client Service Coordinator/Veterinary Assistant serves as both a frontline client advocate and an essential member of the patient care team. This hybrid role combines compassionate client service with hands-on veterinary assistant support to create a seamless experience for pet families while supporting efficient, high-quality patient care. As a Client Service Coordinator, you are the first face and voice of Partner Veterinary. Your impact in this role comes from communicating with patience, empathy, and an “I can help” approach to both clients and teammates. Daily responsibilities focus on facilitating communication and coordination between clients and the medical team. Tasks include checking patients in and out, collecting payments, cleaning exam rooms between visits, scheduling appointments, triaging phone calls and voicemails, requesting records for new patients, sending records to referral hospitals, and collecting new client forms. As a Veterinary Assistant, your focus shifts to supporting patient care, surgical preparation, and team efficiency. Daily responsibilities include patient handling, preparing patients for surgery, cleaning and restocking supplies, and supporting pet families throughout the treatment process. On an as-needed basis, you will scrub into surgical procedures to directly assist the surgeon by maintaining strict sterile technique, anticipating surgical needs, and efficiently providing instruments, sutures, and materials during procedures. You will also assist with instrument sterilization, surgical pack preparation, and operating room turnover. You will work with unique and varied cases, and you have the resources to enable optimal patient outcomes.
