Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
• A valid state license and in good standing to practice.
• A collaborative spirit and a dedication to practicing the highest standard of medicine.
• Excellent communication skills with a positive, friendly attitude.

• Experience with primarily dogs and cats, with cases ranging from routine wellness and preventative care to advanced diagnostics, surgery, acute illness, injury, stabilization, hospitalization, and urgent same-day presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a dynamic mix of general practice and urgent care medicine.
• Manage preventative medicine, internal medicine, diagnostic workups, surgery, dentistry, senior care, acute illness and injury, stabilization, hospitalization, and more complex medical presentations.
• Build long-term client relationships.
• Develop diagnostic confidence and efficiency.
• Provide emergency evaluation, stabilization, hospitalization, and urgent medical treatment during hospital hours.
• Coordinate referral to nearby emergency and specialty resources when necessary.
• Offer wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, advanced medical care, and routine-to-advanced surgical procedures.
• Uphold the highest standards of patient care.
• Clearly communicate findings and treatment plans to clients.
• Collaborate with a supportive paraprofessional team.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture.
