About The Position
CityVet Alexandria King Street is hiring a relief Associate Veterinarian for a hybrid general practice and urgent care role. The position combines diagnostic problem solving and urgent care medicine with opportunities to build long-term client relationships, while avoiding overnight ER shifts. The hybrid caseload includes scheduled wellness and sick visits, urgent care walk-ins, soft tissue surgeries, medical workups, and diagnostics. The hospital provides preventive and wellness care, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, urgent care services, and advanced diagnostics. The veterinarian will work in a collaborative environment led by Dr. Choi, a practicing veterinarian and CityVet Partner, with access to a network of more than 150 CityVet veterinarians for case collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and clinical support. Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
- Licensed to practice in the state or eligible for licensure.
- Collaborative spirit and commitment to exceptional patient care.
- Interest in general practice and/or urgent care medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to pets.
- See scheduled general practice wellness and sick visits.
- Treat urgent care walk-in cases.
- Perform soft tissue surgeries.
- Conduct medical workups and diagnostics.
- Build lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
- Collaborate with the hospital team and CityVet veterinary network.
