About The Position

Welcome to Animal Medical Center North, a shining light in Northern Albertan veterinary medicine! Our clinic offers a modern variety of diagnostic, surgical, and dental equipment, flexible scheduling, and a healthy respect for work-life balance. We boast a large support staff with a high ratio of RVTs to DVMs, allowing doctors to focus on important tasks. Our technicians and tech assistants streamline workloads, and we even have a certified canine rehab tech (CCRP) to assist with challenging IVDD and OA cases. The clinic has opportunities for everyone, whether interested in routine surgery, dental procedures, orthopedic surgery, general medicine, or wellness-focused practice. We provide up-to-date X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, laser, and rehab equipment. We offer seriously flexible scheduling, including rotating schedules with time off between shifts, accommodating avid travelers or those with commitments elsewhere. At AMCN, work-life balance is a priority. While there is some on-call duty, it is shared with three other clinics, generously compensated, and always accompanied by an RVT. DVMs can expect between no on-call nights to 3-4 call nights per month, based on comfort level.
