About The Position
Westside Animal Hospital is seeking an associate veterinarian for its growing, privately owned, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Rochester, New York. The hospital emphasizes high-quality, gold-standard veterinary medicine, low-stress handling using gentle control, treats, and medication, and strong relationships with clients and staff. It offers a friendly, compassionate, respectful, and trusting team culture in a new, clean facility with a relaxed atmosphere. The trained support staff is prepared to work with the veterinarian, and the hospital is willing to mentor a new graduate. The hospital is equipped with in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment, digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, laser therapy, acupuncture, a surgery suite with anesthesia monitoring equipment, cryosurgery, an isolation ward, and Pulse software. Visiting specialists are also available. The position is offered as full-time or part-time and permanent. Compensation includes a generous base salary with a production bonus, with salary commensurate with experience. The benefits package includes health and dental care, a 401(k) with matching funds, paid vacation, paid relicensing fees and professional dues, and pet benefits. There is no on-call or overnight work; a nearby emergency service handles after-hours emergencies.
