About The Position

Alafaya Trail Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time veterinarian to join its three-doctor team in Oviedo, Florida. The hospital has served East Orlando for more than 20 years and emphasizes long-term relationships with clients and collaborative care among its doctors. The caseload includes wellness and puppy and kitten care, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, allergy and dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, and laser therapy. The position offers weekday hours, rotating Saturdays, and Sundays off, with scheduling flexibility discussed with the veterinarian. The hospital is part of the OrlandoVets family of four hospitals and offers pathways to practice ownership through Veterinary Practice Partners for candidates interested in partnership.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution.
Valid veterinary license in Florida, or ability to obtain one.
DEA license, or ability to obtain one.
Comfort with a mix of wellness, dental, soft tissue surgery, and urgent care cases.

Responsibilities

Provide veterinary care for dogs and cats, including wellness care and vaccinations.
Perform or provide care involving dentistry, soft tissue surgery, spay and neuter care, allergy and dermatology, internal medicine, laser therapy, and urgent and emergency care.
Collaborate with a three-doctor team and build relationships with long-standing clients.
