About The Position
Oakdale Veterinary Center is a full-service small-animal general practice in Canton, with limited equine and bovine care. The clinic is a friendly, growing team adding a third veterinarian and offers a low-drama, high-trust environment where veterinarians are supported, respected, and encouraged to practice quality medicine with medical autonomy. The practice sees an average of 15–20 patients per day, with a 2:1 support-staff ratio. Its case mix includes wellness and preventative care, dentistry, diagnostics, limited equine and bovine services, urgent care, and surgery. Available equipment and technology include an IDEXX in-house lab, ultrasound, digital X-ray, and in-house canine reproduction tools. The role offers annual salary plus production bonuses, with no negative accrual, and transparent production metrics and operational support. The clinic also offers flexible scheduling, work-life balance, mentorship, and professional development. Relocation assistance and sign-on bonuses are available. Canton offers a lower cost of living, community connections, and access to outdoor spaces and local schools, with Peoria within driving distance.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
