30th Street Animal Hospital is hiring an Associate Veterinarian for its collaborative small-animal general practice in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role is open to experienced veterinarians and new graduates, including the Class of 2027. The hospital offers a modern, well-equipped facility, experienced support staff, a diverse medical and surgical caseload, and a relationship-centered approach to patient care. Compensation is $140,000–$170,000 plus production, with earning potential of $230,000 or more. Compensation models include base-only, production-only, or base plus production, with no negative accrual. A sign-on bonus of up to $30,000, student loan repayment, and relocation assistance are available. The schedule is a four-day workweek with rotating half-day Saturdays, no on-call responsibilities, and no major holiday coverage. The appointment-based day includes 30-minute doctor visits and a dedicated midday block for lunch, records, callbacks, procedures, and collaboration. Veterinarians typically see approximately 15 patients daily. The team has an approximately 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, experienced support staff, and a dedicated floater. The hospital is a remodeled, approximately 6,000-square-foot facility with six exam rooms, a two-table surgical suite, separate canine and feline treatment areas, an isolation ward, and designated surgical recovery space. Equipment and technology include IDEXX in-house diagnostics, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, EKG, therapeutic laser, advanced anesthesia monitoring, electrocautery, active surgical suction, and EzyVet, Weave, and ScribbleVet AI. The caseload spans preventive care, wellness, internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry, ultrasound, and soft tissue surgery, with specialty and emergency referral relationships available when needed. New graduates receive an individualized first-year mentorship program with extended appointment times, side-by-side clinical training, supervised surgical and dental experience, regular mentor meetings, progress evaluations, and increasing clinical independence. Experienced veterinarians have clinical autonomy, opportunities to pursue professional interests, contribute to hospital protocols, mentor newer doctors if interested, and explore leadership or partnership opportunities. The hospital emphasizes teamwork, open communication, individualized treatment plans, and compassionate client relationships. Through Veterinary Practice Partners, employees can access professional development, leadership resources, and potential practice partnership opportunities.
