About The Position
Family Pet Health Center is seeking experienced veterinarians to join its community-focused practice in Mattawan, Michigan. The hospital has a collaborative team of four veterinarians, a clinic manager, three licensed veterinary technicians, six veterinary assistants, and two customer service representatives. The practice emphasizes respect, compassion, teamwork, shared decision-making with pet owners, and long-term relationships with the families it serves. It offers access to resources and technology beyond those of a single clinic while maintaining an independent, non-corporate feel and avoiding preset treatment plans. The hospital is currently open Monday through Friday and seeks doctors interested in helping extend its hours into evenings and some Saturdays. Mattawan offers a small-town setting near Kalamazoo and Portage, with access to Lake Michigan, outdoor recreation, wineries, orchards, festivals, restaurants, shopping, and Western Michigan University.
Requirements
- Experience as a veterinarian.
Responsibilities
- Provide veterinary care to pets and work collaboratively with the hospital's doctors and support team.
- Make shared decisions with pet owners about treatment plans.
- Help the hospital extend its operating hours into evenings and some Saturdays.
