About The Position

Stone House Animal Hospital in Topeka is a long-standing, fast-paced companion-animal practice that has served the community for over 20 years. The clinic combines general practice with urgent and emergency care and operates on a walk-in basis, without appointments. It sees approximately 20 patients per day and handles wellness, surgery, dentistry, and urgent-care cases, supported by an experienced team and a 3:1 support-staff ratio. Available equipment and facilities include digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratories, a surgical suite, and a dental suite. The veterinarian will practice with medical autonomy and support from skilled technicians, dedicated client service representatives, and leadership. The role suits someone who enjoys variety, hands-on problem-solving, teamwork, and a fast-paced environment, and who wants to continue learning and developing skills. New graduates are welcome. Compensation includes a $130,000–$140,000 base salary plus a production bonus, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and a DVM long-term incentive cash program. The clinic offers no negative accrual, transparent production metrics, operational support, a generous continuing-education allowance, paid licenses and dues, a referral bonus program, flexible scheduling, and relocation assistance. Full-time employees may also receive the benefits listed by AmeriVet, including paid time off and holidays, health and other insurance, and student loan assistance.
