About The Position

Veterinarian Partners has a bustling practice that offers general and urgent care services in the Plainfield, Illinois, area. We are inviting you to join us as an extern. This excellent opportunity will teach students how to practice top-notch medicine, gain valuable hands-on clinical experience, and enrich the lives of patients and clients along the way. Led by one of the top-rated veterinarians in the area, students will gain real-life, “in the trenches” experience, gather patient information and history, perform physical exams, create treatment plans, diagnostics, and surgical & dentistry services. The program is customizable for 2-to-4-week durations depending on the student's schedule. The hospital is cutting-edge and located in a picturesque location southwest of Chicago. The practice has talented and experienced operations and clinical teams that foster a tight-knit community atmosphere. The environment is engaging, supportive, and collaborative. The hospital is undergoing renovation/expansion in 2024 and offers orthopedics and cold laser therapy, general surgery, power lift tables (including a dental table), an in-house lab, a cutting-edge ventilator, anesthesia monitoring equipment, and access to ultrasound. There are 3 exam rooms. The facility is fully equipped with ultrasound, radiography, and electronic medical records, with the flexibility to integrate additional specialty services. Highly qualified technicians are available to handle diagnostic, surgical, pharmaceutical, and technical needs.
