About The Position

The Inspector provides ASME and NBIC Code-required inspections, inspections in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive and other international pressure equipment standards, monitoring, and third-party inspection (TPI). The role also identifies potential customers and conducts marketing and sales visits to grow business in the assigned locality. The Inspector works with minimal supervision and uses independent judgment to assure product compliance. Work in other territories is also expected, with frequency depending on workload in the assigned territory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of the following experience and qualification pathways: four years of pressure equipment industry experience as outlined in NB-263 RCI-1; two years of such experience plus completion of an accredited military or merchant marine training program or an associated certification program; or one year of such experience plus a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Technology, Science, or Math from an accredited institution.
• Qualifying pressure equipment experience may include boiler operation exceeding 50,000 lbs. per hour; performance of repairs, alterations, or maintenance; NDE examiner experience at ASNT Level II or III; or inspection or maintenance of boilers or pressure vessels.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Computer technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
