This role involves interacting with clients and prospects to gain trusted advisor status within the context of WWT's portfolio and value proposition. The Vertical Systems Engineer will create plans and strategies in concert with account teams and internal WWT teams to present and educate clients on WWT's OEM and Services portfolio within a specific vertical market. The position drives Gross Profit and Opportunities by proactively and reactively proposing solution designs and architectures, focusing on ATC Lab Engagements and AI Proving Ground as catalysts to gain business and mindshare. The engineer will own critical OEM engagements in the assigned client area, positioning WWT's value, particularly in AI, Cyber, and Software. Trust is gained by meeting with IT, LOB, Security, and other key resources to educate and discover needs. The role involves working in a team to drive Services, including SR and WWT's portfolio, to complement products and software and differentiate WWT's value. Coordination of all necessary WWT resources and stakeholders, including GS&A, SC&E, Services, Sales, and Executives, is crucial for driving campaigns and value that result in winning large and strategic business. A personal development plan is required to stay current with Vertical Trends, Technology, and use cases, with management reporting and assistance.
