About The Position

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable professional to join their Government vertical sales organization. This role focuses on helping government agencies reduce fraud, waste, and abuse, and improve operational efficiencies through LexisNexis Risk Solutions. The Vertical Market Consultant will build strong relationships with new and existing customers, maximizing the benefits they receive from adopting the company's solutions. The position is designed to drive revenue and brand awareness, particularly for solutions focused on reducing Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) within the Government market. As a subject matter expert in program integrity, the role will lead initiatives to enhance brand visibility and drive strategic business development activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of proven success in the government market, with experience in program integrity functions such as Medicaid/CHIP (including MCO/managed care oversight), SNAP, TANF, Unemployment Insurance, Child Care, WIC, General Assistance, State Tax/Revenue, Workers’ Comp (where applicable), and other benefit programs.
  • Strong knowledge of the Government sector, including its specific regulatory and operational dynamics.
  • Experience collaborating with teams to establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.
  • For candidates transitioning directly from government roles: Showcase ability to adapt government knowledge into revenue-generating strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to establish and nurture connections with key stakeholders in Government entities.
  • Ability to collaborate with industry associations and executive decision-makers to understand specific requirements and challenges faced by government agencies.
  • Previous experience as a representative at conferences, speaking engagements, and industry events.
  • Proven ability to effectively represent the brand and establish a strong presence within the Government market.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create impactful presentations, collateral, and engagement plans to support sales efforts.

  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed, up to 50%, including attendance at relevant conferences, industry events, and client meetings.
  • Position may be required to have security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership and stakeholders to craft and execute a targeted messaging strategy for the Government market.
  • Develop compelling positioning documents and strategic narratives to elevate the visibility of LexisNexis Risk Solutions FWA solutions.
  • Drive revenue through proactive business development activities, working closely with sales teams to establish and foster relationships with key stakeholders within targeted Government agencies and programs.
  • Create impactful presentations, collateral, and engagement plans to support sales efforts.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within Government entities, including executive staff of agencies and influential industry groups.
  • Collaborate with industry associations and executive decision-makers to gain insights into the specific requirements and challenges faced by Government agencies.
  • Function as the key representative of the brand at relevant conferences, speaking engagements, and industry events within the State and Local Government market.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leaders and cross-functional teams to develop creative campaigns and materials that resonate with Government audiences, enhancing brand awareness and positioning LexisNexis Risk Solutions as a leader in the field.
