About The Position

This role provides operational support across various commercial areas including Y Plas Nightclub, Great Hall Gigs, Cloakroom, Box Office, and Corporate Events. The primary responsibilities involve serving alcoholic drinks in nightclub environments and cleaning bars to set standards. Most shifts will be during evenings and late nights. There will also be a requirement to assist the facilities team in cleaning customer areas after trade has finished. The role requires working within a Licensed Premises, dispensing and serving alcohol in a loud, fast-paced nightclub/live music environment. Ear protection is provided. Most shifts will be late night, with nightclub shifts running up to 4 am. This role for new starters does not include working in The Taf.

Requirements

  • Must be available to attend the induction day on Thursday 17th of September.
  • Must complete online learning courses prior to starting work.
  • Must be a student for the full 2026/27 academic year.
  • Must be able to work evenings and late nights, with nightclub shifts running up to 4 am.
  • Must be able to work within a Licensed Premises which involves dispensing and serving alcohol to customers in a loud and fast paced nightclub/live music environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain excellent customer service at all times with the aim of exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ensure that all parts of the venue are clean and tidy at all times, including assisting the facilities team with event cleandown and undertaking weekly deep cleans of all trading areas.
  • Serve all customers quickly and efficiently, meeting set departmental standards.
  • Be aware of current promotions and special offers, upselling where appropriate.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all licensing legislation and food hygiene policies.
  • Be responsible for your own Health & Safety and observe all regulations in relation to the Health & Safety at Work Act.
  • Be proactive in your approach to all tasks and duties undertaken whilst working within the Venues.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by Managers or Team Leaders.
  • Help create a positive and encouraging work environment for all staff.
  • Attend individual and group meetings throughout the year aimed at addressing: Reviewing procedures, Giving ideas on improvements, Performance reviews, General updates.
