Venue Management Intern | Part-Time | BOK Center & Arvest Convention Center
About The Position
Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking a Venue Management Intern for a part-time, rotational program at the BOK Center and Arvest Convention Center. This immersive internship is designed for students to gain hands-on exposure to the live entertainment and venue management industry. The program will provide a comprehensive look at how a major arena operates by allowing interns to rotate through various departments, including Marketing and Communications, Event Services, Box Office and Ticketing, Global Partnerships and Premium Services, Booking and Special Events, Guest Services and Front of House, Operations, and Food and Beverage. The role pays an hourly rate of $15.00 and is expected to last from September 7, 2026, to December 11, 2026. The BOK Center is a 19,199-seat multi-purpose arena in downtown Tulsa, and the Arvest Convention Center offers over 275,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, preferably in hospitality, entertainment business, marketing, sports management, or a related field.
- Passion for live events, music, and venue operations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Professionalism, integrity, and discretion are essential.
Responsibilities
- Rotate through departments on a predetermined schedule, participating in both event-day and non-event operations.
- Assist with a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: assisting with artist and tour advance logistics, contributing to marketing and social media campaigns, supporting sponsor activations and client servicing, shadowing box office operations and guest service teams, participating in event setup and breakdown, helping coordinate show day and backstage needs, and observing meetings and internal planning processes.
