About The Position

This role supports the Procurement, Contracting, and Vendor Relations Manager in managing and strengthening CenCal Health’s relationships with non‑provider administrative service vendors. The Vendor Relations Specialist plays a key role in vendor performance oversight, contract compliance, cost optimization, and cross‑functional collaboration.

  • Working knowledge of contract law, legal terminology, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to interpret, implement, and administer company policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate alternatives and recommend practical, effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated listening, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Professional, responsive, and consistent when handling high‑priority or time‑sensitive matters.
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills.
  • Ability to lead and actively participate in meetings and cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including SmartSheets.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains strong, productive relationships with non‑provider administrative service vendors.
  • Monitors vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms, regulatory requirements, and established performance benchmarks.
  • Collects and analyzes product, pricing, and performance data to identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
  • Partners with department leadership on budgeting, financial management, data analysis, presentations, training initiatives, and interdepartmental requests.
  • Supports procurement, contracting, and vendor‑related initiatives through effective project management and coordination.
