About The Position

Frazer, a builder of emergency medical vehicles, is seeking a Vehicle Wrap Installer to measure, cut, laminate, and apply vinyl graphics and striping to custom EMS modules. The role is responsible for producing consistent, professional, defect-free finishes on every unit. The installer reviews job tickets and blueprints or photos, verifies measurements, prepares materials to specification, and applies graphics using layout references and appropriate techniques, including wet application when needed. The installer inspects finished work against the mockup and quality standards, cleans adhesive residue and materials, and signs off before the unit moves downstream. The role may also assist the Paint department with buffing, detail wipe-down, and unit cleanup. At Level IV, the installer coaches Level I–III installers and serves as a technical escalation point. The position works Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, at Frazer’s Sugar Land, Texas location. No travel is required. Compensation is $18.00–$29.00 per hour, commensurate with demonstrated competency and level held.

Requirements

Vehicle Wrap Installer I: No prior graphics installation experience required; willingness to learn material handling and application fundamentals.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately in a production environment.
Basic manual dexterity.
Vehicle Wrap Installer II: 1–3 years of vinyl or graphics installation experience in a manufacturing or vehicle customization environment.
Vehicle Wrap Installer II: Ability to measure, cut, and apply vinyl material to a repeatable quality standard with periodic supervisory review.
Vehicle Wrap Installer III: 3–5 years of graphics installation experience and ability to perform full installs independently to a defect-free standard.
Vehicle Wrap Installer III: Proficiency in wet-application technique, complex layout alignment, and finished-unit quality control.
Vehicle Wrap Installer IV: 5+ years of graphics installation experience and demonstrated mastery of material handling, complex installs, and quality ownership.
Vehicle Wrap Installer IV: Ability to mentor and develop junior installers and serve as the work center’s technical escalation point.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in specialty-vehicle manufacturing, sign and graphics production, or a related production environment.
Vinyl/graphics installation certification.
Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

Review job tickets and blueprints or photos, and verify measurements on the vehicle before cutting materials.
Measure and cut conspicuity and vinyl material to specification using a rotary cutter.
Lay out, position, and align graphics and stripes on vehicles using a tape measure and squeegee, referencing the mockup.
Use wet-application technique when required to ensure optimal positioning before vinyl sets.
Inspect completed installations against the mockup and quality standards; remove adhesive residue and materials and sign off before the unit moves downstream.
Assist the Paint department with buffing, detail wipe-down, and unit cleanup as needed.
At Level IV, coach Level I–III installers on technique, precision, and quality standards.
Keep the workspace organized, tools clean, and PPE on throughout the shift.
