About The Position

Cumulus Media in Indianapolis is hiring a Vehicle Transporter/Driver to deliver and return vehicles between Cumulus Media locations and remote broadcast locations. The role primarily involves driving a truck and trailer up to 33 feet long with a gross vehicle weight of 20,700 pounds. This is an on-call, part-time position offering supplemental income, with work ranging from 0 to 25 hours per week depending on business needs. The driver must remain alert and operate safely, taking responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Clean DMV motor vehicle record.
• Indiana For Hire Endorsement license, either already held or obtained.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work independently, with organizational skills and a positive attitude.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and work at specified locations.
• Ability to see and hear, with close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to move frequently and to stand, walk, and sit; frequently use hands to touch, handle, and feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to legally and safely operate a motor vehicle and frequently enter and exit the vehicle and rear trailer/cargo area.

Nice To Haves

• CDL drivers are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving to remote broadcast locations or Cumulus Media locations.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, and report any issues to the manager.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage.
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
