About The Position

As a Vehicle Technician, you play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of the 4Seasons fleet. Your dedication and technical expertise help ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant, well-maintained, and ready to support daily operations. Vehicle Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and workmanship. In the event of breakdowns, incidents, or mechanical concerns, Vehicle Technicians respond promptly to identify issues and implement effective solutions to minimize operational disruptions. This role is essential in supporting 4Seasons’ commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and punctual transportation services to the communities and students we serve.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for the Supervisor role is based on your current standing as a TCS. Consideration will include a review of HR, Training, and Safety files, including time-off requests, attendance history, coaching conversations, incidents, overall reliability and leadership potential.
  • Current 4Seasons Driver
  • Intermediate understanding and knowledge of vehicles
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience as a Driver with 4Seasons
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards, preventative maintenance, and fleet operations
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair vehicle issues efficiently
  • Ability to complete accurate maintenance records, inspections, and repair documentation
  • Previous fleet, bus, diesel, or transportation maintenance experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct minor vehicle repairs, replacements and installations, including headlights, taillights, interior lights, windshield wipers, wheelchair hydraulic lifts, tire repair/replacement, batteries, GPS units and safety equipment
  • Supports in-field incidents, including collision response, vehicle swaps, roadside assistance, flat tire support, bus equipment troubleshooting, and snow rescue
  • Install securement equipment in the vehicle, including car seats, buckle guards harnesses as per route requirements
  • Support with vehicle sign-out and sign-in, provide additional assistance and answer questions
  • Provide ongoing support to Drivers, answering questions and troubleshooting
  • Supports with back-bay up keep and cleanliness, including inventory, organization of tools, and inventory
  • Reinforce company policies, safety procedures, and transportation best practices
  • Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, adaptability, and communication
