About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced Vehicle Service Attendant to clean and maintain rental cars. The role includes vacuuming, cleaning windows, wiping down interiors, using air freshener, and removing stains with appropriate cleaning solutions. The attendant may also gather and empty trash, monitor building security and safety, drive vehicles while carrying out cleaning work, report repair needs, and communicate effectively with clients and coworkers. The position pays $18.42 per hour; the specific offer may vary based on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Locations depend on availability, with examples including Pasadena, downtown Los Angeles, and West Hollywood. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., plus weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; weekend shifts are required. No experience is required, and on-the-job training is provided.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license.
Must pass a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug test.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain rental cars by vacuuming, cleaning windows, wiping down interiors, and using air freshener.
Follow procedures for chemical cleaners to prevent damage.
Remove stains from carpet and other interior surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions as needed.
Gather and empty trash.
Monitor building security and safety, including locking doors after operating hours and possibly checking electrical appliance use to ensure hazards are not created.
Drive vehicles while performing cleaning work.
Notify management about the need for minor or major repairs or additions to the facility.
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, and others.
Comply with company, client, and regulatory safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures.
