About The Position

The Vehicle Service Agent services and inspects rental vehicles to prepare them for customer use. The role includes transporting vehicles from the service area to customer pick-up or other assigned locations, transporting customers to and from the rental center as required, maintaining gas and other requested logs, and keeping the work area and its equipment and supplies maintained. The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Service Supervisor and Location Manager.

The work involves extensive physical activity, including cleaning and servicing vehicles, twisting, bending, walking, getting in and out of vehicles, driving, and inspecting vehicles. It also involves prolonged periods of servicing and cleaning vehicles, lifting cleaning equipment, and using cleaning products. Employees may need to work outdoors in nearly all weather conditions and must be able to work all required shifts.

Requirements

• Have a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report.
• Be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
• Be able to work all required shifts.
• Be willing to work outside in nearly all weather conditions.
• Have strong time management skills.
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to operate vehicles safely and courteously.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service rental vehicles for customer use.
• Review inspection checklists to ensure vehicles are properly prepared.
• Transport customers to and from the rental center as required.
• Deliver vehicles to appropriate locations as directed.
• Maintain the service area, equipment, tools, and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain gas logs and other logs as requested by management.
• Inspect and park cars as directed.
• Perform related duties as required or assigned.
