About The Position

The Vehicle Service Agent services and inspects rental vehicles to prepare them for customer use. The role includes moving vehicles from the service area to customer pick-up or other designated locations, transporting customers to and from the rental center as required, maintaining gas and other requested logs, and keeping the service area, equipment, tools, and cleaning supplies in good order. The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Service Supervisor and Location Manager.

The work involves extensive physical activity, including cleaning and servicing vehicles, twisting, bending, walking, entering and exiting vehicles, driving, and inspecting vehicles. It also includes prolonged periods of vehicle servicing and cleaning, lifting cleaning equipment, and using cleaning products. Employees must be able to work required shifts and outdoors in nearly all weather conditions.

Requirements

• Hold a valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory motor vehicle report.
• Be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Be able to work all required shifts.
• Be willing to work outside in nearly all weather conditions.
• Have strong time management skills.
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service rental vehicles for customer use.
• Review the inspection checklist to ensure vehicles are properly prepared.
• Transport customers to and from the rental center as required.
• Deliver vehicles to appropriate locations as directed.
• Maintain the service area, equipment, tools, and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain gas logs and other logs as requested by management.
• Inspect and park cars as directed.
• Perform related duties as required or assigned.
