About The Position

This role is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer for each vehicle received at the Auction. The specialist will also install GPS trackers, remove and document license plates, affix barcode stickers, and place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles. Additionally, they will flag "no key" cars, direct transporters, report transport damage, and demonstrate a commitment to safety. This position may require cross-training for check-in assistance and performing other duties as assigned, such as driving vehicles on sale days. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (excluding marijuana for this position).

Nice To Haves

• 1 – 3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Input accurate vehicle information (VIN, stock number, dealer ID, make, model, year, mileage, color, etc.) into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer.
• Install GPS trackers in OBII Port or with a Metal security cable.
• Remove and document license plates.
• Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
• Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
• Flag "no key" cars.
• Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone.
• Report transport damage as needed.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
• Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Cross-train for check-in and provide assistance to the EPII team when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, such as assisting on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes.
• May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
