About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking a Diesel Vehicle Mechanic in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to maintain and repair the company’s fleet. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, inspections, routine servicing, and supporting drivers with vehicle issues. The mechanic also helps move and secure equipment on the yard and maintains the facility through housekeeping duties. The position is part of a safety-focused team and requires compliance with safe work practices, facility permits, and Department of Transportation requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• At least 1 year of DOT inspection experience.
• Must provide basic tools.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical test upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Related mechanical certifications are preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and maintain safe conduct at all times.
• Move company equipment safely on the yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with outstanding vehicle issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, including changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Complete required daily checklists.
• Ensure equipment is parked and secured in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements.
• Maintain the facility through housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned by management or required by business needs.
