About The Position

LDV is seeking a full-time, first-shift Vehicle Equipment Installer to help build and install components in custom and specialty vehicles. The role includes installing lift gates and tail-light junction boxes, as well as components for 12-volt and 120/240-volt applications. The employer is willing to train suitable candidates.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work on a creeper beneath a vehicle.
• Quality, accuracy, and the ability to work within a crew in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with power tools, wiring, and measuring is desired; the employer is willing to train the right candidates.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints, wiring diagrams, and vehicle specifications.
• Install components for 12-volt and 120/240-volt applications on custom vehicles, including generators, batteries, leveling systems, fuel-based heaters, power converters, isolators, alternators, and rooftop AC units.
• Install lift gates and junction boxes for tail lights on specialty vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic tests and write accurate reports at final inspection.
• Work beneath vehicles on a creeper to install cables, fuel lines, exhaust, and other equipment.
