About The Position

Accurately record vehicle information into the AS400 system using handheld devices and support auction vehicle intake activities. Verify vehicle details, label and track inventory, direct transport flow, identify issues such as damage or missing keys, and capture vehicle images. Additionally, supporting customer logistics needs and fostering relationships with dealers and auction personnel. Ensure vehicles are properly identified for sale processing and assist with auction operations as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field. OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; OR 5 years’ experience in a related field
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily operation of the vehicle check-in area by leading and coordinating the activities and the work flow of vehicles.
  • Ensure efficient lot operation by coordinating the movement of vehicles from check-in to the designated area.
  • Oversee and ensure that incoming vehicles are received, stocked-in, numerated and parked in the proper areas.
  • Input accurate vehicle information into a handheld computer system currently known as the Smart Tool for each vehicle received at the Auction: Vehicle Identification number (VIN) Stock number Dealer identification number Make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc.
  • Labels should print automatically from the printer
  • Notate no keys, biohazard, DB (dead battery), or any other issues on the front windshield.
  • Place workorder numbers and routing labels on front windshield and back window on each of the vehicles.
  • Take digital image of vehicles following the check-in process.
  • Provide quality service and interact with customers to resolve any problems hat may occur.
  • Inspect and maintain lot operations equipment and ensure that it is functional and in good working condition
  • Assist Mechanic Shop for Post Sale Inspections as needed by test driving vehicles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e. assist on sale days driving vehicles for auction sale day or moving cars to its designated area.
  • May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
