About The Position

The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist acquires additional dealership inventory by purchasing vehicles from customers. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience, managing customer expectations, and communicating throughout AutoNation’s We'll Buy Your Car process. The associate strives to meet the program’s “check within an hour” promise. The position offers flexible hours and hourly pay plus a bonus for each vehicle purchased.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extremely self-motivated.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Demonstrated communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Ability and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver's license and an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.

Nice To Haves

• Sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming leads through AutoNation and third-party websites, by phone, online, and from walk-in traffic.
• Use available resources to identify and engage private parties interested in selling their vehicles.
• Set appointments for prospective customers to visit the dealership for vehicle appraisals.
• Execute AutoNation’s We'll Buy Your Car Same-Day Payment process.
• Review vehicle condition reports and inspect vehicles onsite.
• Interact with customers throughout the day, in person and by phone.
• Refer customers who prefer to trade in their vehicles to the sales team.
• Manage customer expectations and communicate throughout the vehicle purchase process.
• Strive to deliver on the We'll Buy Your Car program’s “check within an hour” promise.
• Make vehicle offers using sound judgment, research, and interpersonal skills.
