About The Position

RJW Logistics Group is hiring a machine operator to operate, monitor, and maintain automated cartoning equipment for efficient and accurate product packaging. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. The employee works in a production or assembly environment and may occasionally encounter moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. Noise levels range from quiet to moderately loud. Duties and responsibilities may change at the company's discretion.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret production instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed.
• Ability to speak and communicate clearly.
• Ability to work under stressful situations, maintain accuracy, and concentrate on more than one task at a time.
• Comfort speaking in front of others.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating cartoning or packaging machinery.
• Experience with vertical cartoners or similar production or manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP standards.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automated cartoner machines according to production specifications.
• Load packaging materials, including cartons and leaflets, into the machine.
• Monitor machine operation for malfunctions or product defects.
• Perform routine quality checks to confirm proper packaging, labeling, and sealing.
• Adjust machines as needed to maintain product quality and minimize downtime.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment maintenance.
• Complete production documentation and logs accurately.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
