About The Position

The Machine Operator 1 performs routine manufacturing and packaging tasks within clearly defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines. The role applies basic operational knowledge, follows prescribed steps, and works under a high degree of supervision with minimal discretion. The operator has basic training in an operational process area and supports production while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), housekeeping policies, and safety procedures.

Requirements

High school degree.
One year of manufacturing experience.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Ability to perform repetitive motions.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting and communicate successfully across the department.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work on semi-routine assignments and recognize deviations from specifications.
Proficient in English, including the ability to read, write, analyze and evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams, and perform basic arithmetic.
Basic proficiency with PCs and basic use of a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

Manually package kits.
Perform cleaning functions.
Test and inspect parts for in-process quality checks.
Train others.
Accurately complete paperwork.
Pull raw material for orders.
Feed raw material onto the production line.
Clear common machine faults.
Perform some machine setup and startup tasks.
Perform some machine shutdown tasks.
Offer input for Standard Operating Procedures.
Perform limited controls and adjustments to machine settings.
Follow and document established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Follow client housekeeping policies and procedures.
Follow client safety policies and procedures.
Work overtime as required to meet client business requirements.
Perform other duties as required.
