About The Position

FitzBuysCars (FBC) is seeking a highly motivated, data-driven Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to lead inventory sourcing. The role focuses on purchasing pre-owned vehicles directly from consumers, not selling cars. Working under the strategic guidance of the FBC Director and in close collaboration with the FBC Acquisition Manager, the specialist manages the end-to-end purchasing pipeline, including dealership and offsite appraisals and purchases. The position offers a reasonable, structured work schedule and compensation potential above $100,000 annually for top performers.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, subject to background check.
• Willingness to travel locally for offsite consumer appointments.
• Exceptional phone etiquette and active listening skills.
• Ability to negotiate firmly yet politely with the public.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience in automotive buying, automotive sales, or high-volume outbound account management or inside sales; listed as not required.
• Hands-on experience with vAuto and digital appraisal platforms such as AccuTrade; listed as not required.

Responsibilities

• Prospect private-party sellers through digital marketplaces such as Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, and follow up on inbound sell-your-car leads generated by the company website.
• Use vAuto, AccuTrade, MMR (Manheim Market Report), and KBB to analyze market data, review Carfax and AutoCheck vehicle history reports, and calculate competitive, profitable purchase offers.
• Schedule and conduct physical vehicle inspections at the dealership and at customer locations, documenting cosmetic wear, mechanical issues, and tire and brake depth to estimate reconditioning costs.
• Present purchase offers to consumers, address pricing objections using current market data, and secure acquisitions during on-site or offsite appointments.
• Verify vehicle titles, coordinate lien payoffs with finance teams, and complete required state purchase documentation accurately.
• Maintain a five-star consumer experience and invite sellers to provide reviews and testimonials about the FitzBuysCars selling process.
