About The Position

The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist acquires additional inventory for the dealership by purchasing vehicles from customers. The role focuses on providing an exceptional customer experience, managing customer expectations, and communicating throughout AutoNation’s We’ll Buy Your Car process. The associate works to meet the program’s promise of providing a check within an hour. The position offers flexible hours and hourly pay plus a bonus for each vehicle purchased.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extremely self-motivated.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Demonstrated communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.

• Sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming leads from AutoNation and third-party websites, by phone, online, and from walk-in traffic.
• Use available resources to identify and engage private parties seeking to sell their vehicles.
• Schedule appointments for potential customers to visit the dealership for an appraisal.
• Carry out AutoNation’s We’ll Buy Your Car Same-Day Payment process.
• Review vehicle condition reports and inspect vehicles onsite.
• Interact with customers throughout the day in person and over the phone.
• Refer customers who prefer to trade in their vehicles to the sales team.
• Make vehicle offers using sound judgment, research, and interpersonal skills.
