The VDC Coordinator establishes and executes model-based coordination processes for assigned projects. Working closely with the Senior VDC Coordinator, the role develops project-specific BIM Execution Plans, coordination workflows, model exchange and publishing requirements, clash detection and issue-tracking procedures, meeting and reporting cadences, and signoff and handoff expectations. The position may support EPC project delivery, electrical construction projects, integrated delivery teams, or other FTI business groups. When FTI performs a typical general contractor coordination role or serves as the general contractor, the coordinator administers and supports the coordination process. Each engineer, designer, and trade partner remains responsible for its own design, model content, scope, and required approvals. This is a centralized, hands-on individual-contributor role without direct reports. Assignments are based on project requirements and priorities established by the VDC Director, with day-to-day project support and workload alignment coordinated through the Senior VDC Coordinator. The coordinator may establish and administer the overall coordination process but does not assume other participants’ contractual design, engineering, or trade responsibilities. Design changes, scope decisions, contractual direction, and schedule commitments remain with the appropriate project leaders and responsible parties. The position works between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, though work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs. Travel is 10–20%.
