About The Position

The VDC Coordinator is the lead Virtual Design & Construction resource on a project, guiding BIM coordination from preconstruction through turnover. The coordinator sets the project’s coordination strategy, leads MEPF coordination, and works closely with the project manager, superintendent, project engineers, trade partners, and designers. The role reports to a Sr. VDC Coordinator, who sets standards, provides support, and assists with difficult decisions, while the VDC Coordinator owns the day-to-day coordination effort on their project. Success in the role is demonstrated through a well-coordinated model, a dependable coordination schedule, reduced rework, and fewer field surprises. The position is primarily based at active project sites after projects begin. Advancement toward Sr. VDC Coordinator is based on demonstrated readiness, including independently leading coordination on complex projects, mentoring others, and contributing to department standards and tools. The company offers regular opportunities to work with a manager on career goals.
