About The Position

The BIM/VDC Coordinator supports the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) methodologies into projects. The role uses digital tools and processes to optimize design, enhance coordination, and streamline construction, supporting project excellence from conception through completion. The coordinator works with field construction units to assess the real-world applicability, accuracy, and utility of BIM/VDC models and simulations. They support the development and optimization of 3D/4D models for infrastructure projects, including their use in simulations, design validation, constructability reviews, and sequencing. The role also follows BIM/VDC standards, identifies clashes and potential project risks, and makes recommendations to the VDC manager. The position supports BIM/VDC leadership and business development and preconstruction teams by developing visualizations, walkthroughs, simulations, and proposal narratives related to digital-build use cases and delivery. The coordinator also maintains knowledge of company values and the strategic plan and performs additional assignments as directed by management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience working in the digital-build environment in the construction industry.

Nice To Haves

Experience in large infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in Autodesk and/or Bentley 3D/4D software.

Responsibilities

Work closely with field construction units to assess the real-world applicability, accuracy, and utility of BIM/VDC models and simulations.
Support the development, maintenance, and optimization of comprehensive 3D/4D models for infrastructure projects and use them for simulations, design validation, constructability reviews, and sequencing.
Follow BIM/VDC standards to ensure uniformity, efficiency, and quality.
Use BIM/VDC tools to identify design and construction clashes, and suggest routine issue resolutions to the VDC manager to prevent on-site complications.
Use BIM/VDC models to anticipate project risks and suggest mitigation measures to the VDC manager.
Support BIM/VDC leadership and business development and preconstruction teams in developing 3D/4D visualizations, renderings, walkthroughs, simulations, and proposal narratives as a subject matter expert on digital-build use cases and delivery.
Maintain knowledge of the company’s values and strategic plan.
Perform additional assignments as directed by management.
