About The Position

A locum tenens Vascular & Interventional Radiologist is needed to provide inpatient clinical coverage in Kearney, Nebraska, at a Level II Trauma Center. The coverage period is November 2 through December 25, 2026, on scheduled weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Coverage is needed while the facility recruits following a provider resignation, and is intended to maintain trauma status. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered. The physician will perform a broad range of interventional radiology procedures, including spine procedures, ports and central line placements, solid organ biopsies and drainages, oncology interventions and image-guided therapies, kyphoplasty, and breast biopsies. Dedicated technologist and nursing support, as well as a PA, are available. Hospital privileges are required; credentialing is ASAP, depending on candidates.

Requirements

Board certification is required.
Availability at time of name clear is required.
Active Nebraska license or IMLC Universal License is highly preferred.
Clean background and malpractice history are highly preferred.
Hospital privileges are required.

Responsibilities

Perform broad-based interventional radiology procedures, including spine procedures, ports and central line placements, biopsies, drainages, oncology interventions, kyphoplasty, and breast biopsies.
Provide IR coverage at a Level II Trauma Center to maintain trauma status.
Collaborate with dedicated technologist and nursing support, and supervise the PA in supportive procedures.
Maintain board certification and adhere to clean background and malpractice standards.
Be available for scheduled hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
