About The Position

A locum tenens Vascular & Interventional Radiologist is needed for inpatient coverage in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Coverage is ASAP and ongoing, with a minimum commitment of two weeks per month. The schedule includes hospital coverage from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and overnight pager call, including 24-hour weekend call. Call is by beeper, with a 1:2 call ratio. The coverage need is due to a potential coverage gap.

The position serves an entirely adult patient population at a Level 1 trauma facility. Average volume is 10 cases per weekday and 6 cases per weekend day. The case mix includes general interventional radiology, cerebral embolectomy (without aneurysm management), and moderate sedation. Hospital privileges are required, temporary privileges are available, and the credentialing timeline is 60 days. The facility uses Epic.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible within five years of residency.
• Minimum of two years of clinical practice.
• Fellowship required.
• ACLS certification.
• Hospital privileges required.

Nice To Haves

• Active Minnesota license preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general interventional radiology coverage, including cerebral embolectomy.
• Administer moderate sedation as needed.
• Provide hospital coverage from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on scheduled days.
• Cover weekend cases as needed, averaging 6 cases per day.
