About The Position

Texas Health Plano is seeking a passionate Vascular/Cardiac Sonographer to join their team. This PRN Days position involves performing complex diagnostic imaging procedures, including Echocardiograms, Stress Echocardiograms, Transesophageal Echocardiograms, and Vascular studies. The role requires adherence to department policies, procedures, and IAC standards, while also considering age-related criteria and developmental considerations. The position offers flexible scheduling, opportunities for skill development in various environments (OR, ER, Trauma, outpatient), and a supportive, inclusive, and diverse team environment with state-of-the-art imaging equipment.

Requirements

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
1 year prior experience preferred
Cardiac experience highly preferred
RCS – Registered Cardiac Sonographer upon hire required OR
RDCS – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire required OR
RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist upon hire required OR
RVS – Registered Vascular Specialist upon hire required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree from accredited school of Ultrasound Technology preferred

Responsibilities

Explains procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to exam
Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factor.
Produces quality Echocardiogram, Stress Echocardiogram, Transesophageal Echocardiogram, and/or Vascular studies following department policies and procedures, as well as IAC standards
