About The Position

This individual performs adult and pediatric echocardiography procedures, including cardiac ultrasound tests such as transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs) for pediatric and adult patients and adult transesophageal echocardiograms. Procedures are performed on patients in all areas of the hospital. The role includes rotating call, weekend, and holiday coverage. Echo staff must respond to emergent or on-call studies within 45 minutes.

Requirements

• Two-year Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology.
• One year of previous experience in non-invasive cardiac ultrasound techniques.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or CCI.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult and pediatric echocardiography procedures.
• Perform and analyze transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs) on pediatric and adult patients.
• Perform adult transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Provide coverage through rotations that include call, weekends, and holidays.
• Respond to emergent and on-call studies within 45 minutes.
