About The Position

Benchmark is seeking a compassionate Van Driver to provide transportation for community residents. The role assists with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities that require van transportation. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

• Have a demonstrated interest in the elderly and knowledge of how to serve their needs.
• Have demonstrated activities or recreational experience.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles according to warranty requirements and/or the internal maintenance plan to ensure they are safe and in working order.
• Act as an Activity Assistant during excursions and stay with the group except while parking the van.
• Transport residents to and from medical appointments, outings, and shopping trips.
• Monitor resident activity and alert staff when assistance is needed to ensure resident safety.
