The Valet Driver provides safe, courteous vehicle parking and customer service at Arnold Palmer Hospital. The role involves inspecting vehicles, explaining valet rates, following safe driving practices, responding to customer needs, and maintaining a clean uniform and punctual attendance. The position may be a first step toward a career with SP+.

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
• Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S.; valid documentation must be provided if hired.
• Ability to provide accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
• Regular ability to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasional ability to sit and climb or balance.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, identify solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
• Inspect each vehicle before parking it and note all findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area to support customers’ transportation experience.
• Arrive on time for each scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
