About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to provide checkout-free parking experiences. It operates a parking network with more than 23,000 employees at over 4,000 locations across North America and Europe. The Valet Driver helps provide a seamless parking and transportation experience for customers while delivering responsive, courteous service. The position is located in Manhattan, New York.

Requirements

Valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
Proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States, with valid documentation provided if hired.
Ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
Ability to stand and walk regularly, handle cash and equipment, occasionally sit and climb or balance, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
Inspect each vehicle before parking it and note all findings.
Explain valet rates to customers.
Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
Know major local streets, landmarks, and freeways to help customers have a seamless transportation experience.
Arrive on time for each scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
