About The Position

Janitronics Facility Services is hiring a part-time Vacuum Specialist to help maintain clean and healthy work environments. The role primarily involves vacuuming floors and removing trash, along with other cleaning tasks assigned by a supervisor. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., at $16 per hour. Travel is not required. The specialist vacuums carpeted and hard-surface floors, including edges, corners, hard-to-reach areas, and stairwells; wipes down entryways as needed; replaces missed trash-can liners; and transports collected trash for disposal. The role also includes maintaining safety, security, productivity, and service standards; communicating with supervisors and coworkers; reporting supply, repair, safety, and maintenance needs; and completing other assigned duties. The job requires traversing the work site and transporting equipment, reaching below waist level and overhead, communicating effectively, inspecting work areas, and carrying up to 50 pounds as needed. Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other potential irritants. Janitronics provides safety and chemical-use training consistent with OSHA and CDC guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role.
Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Vacuum carpeted and hard-surface floors in assigned areas, including edges, corners, and hard-to-reach areas.
Vacuum stairwells in assigned areas.
Wipe down entryways as needed.
Replace missed trash-can liners as needed.
Transport collected trash for proper disposal as needed.
Follow company safety and security standards and programs.
Maintain productivity at or above company standards with minimal supervision.
