Vacuum Excavation Technician (Non-CDL)
About The Position
RECONN is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Vacuum Excavation Technicians. This role focuses on exposing utilities for design and excavation purposes, utilizing methods such as hydro excavation, potholing, keyholing, and air vac. The job involves traveling to work sites to perform soil extraction using vacuum and pressurized water or air. Technicians will work outdoors in various weather conditions, use a company-provided laptop for documentation, and perform tasks like core drilling, shoveling, backfilling, and general construction labor near utilities. These are full-time, daytime positions with potential overtime. Training is provided, and no prior industry experience is necessary.
Requirements
- Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
- Proficiency with technology.
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
- Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous vacuum excavation experience preferred.
- Previous road machine operator or hydro-vac experience preferred.
- Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
