Vacuum Excavation Technician (CDL)
About The Position
RECONN is seeking dedicated individuals to join their Vacuum Excavation team. This role involves traveling to work sites to perform vacuum excavation, also known as hydro-excavation, potholing, keyholing, and air-vac. The job requires soil extraction using vacuum power with pressurized water or air to break ground. Team members will work outdoors in various weather conditions, use a company-provided laptop for project documentation, and perform tasks such as core drilling, shoveling, backfilling, and general construction labor near utilities. Training is provided, and no prior industry experience is necessary. This is a daytime, full-time position with potential overtime requirements.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Possess or have the ability to possess a DOT medical card.
- Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
- Proficiency with technology.
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
- Able to pass a drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- CDL A or B required for CDL positions.
Responsibilities
