About The Position

Students will research a real world social, business, or other problem and develop a user centered solution for it. They will research and assess user needs and outline a concept solution. They will iteratively prototype solutions, and critically evaluate their process and designed solution. The capstone project is designed to provide students with the opportunity to reflect academically on the components of user centered design and demonstrate the successful integration of theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree
  • Teaching experience at the college or university level or experience providing training in UX about client and/or project management or equivalent is required
  • Professional experience in UX and client-based project management or equivalent is required

Nice To Haves

  • PhD with emphasis in User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design, Design or equivalent is preferred
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the classroom is preferred
  • Currency with industry best practices and tools relevant to the course is preferred
