About The Position

As a UX Designer for Developer Experience on the Geo Makers team, you will design and deliver developer-facing tools, reusable UI components, and interactive workflows across Google Maps Platform and its geospatial toolset. This hybrid design-engineering role uses code as a primary design medium, combining visual and interaction design craft with front-end fluency to build tangible browser experiences and explore ways to showcase geospatial and AI capabilities. You will partner with product management, engineering, UX research, and developer relations to translate complex spatial APIs, SDKs, and agentic capabilities into intuitive developer experiences. Google Interaction Designers apply user-centered design methods to create industry-leading experiences from concept through execution. They collaborate with design partners to evolve Google’s design language and create intuitive, beautiful, and innovative products, using user insights to shape product experiences. The Geo team builds mapping products and services, including Maps, Earth, Street View, and Google Maps Platform.
