UX Design Research Intern
About The Position
Join Axos Bank’s immersive 12-week Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience, contribute to enterprise initiatives, and develop professional skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven financial environment. Along with your day-to-day job duties, you will take part in a capstone project, sessions with our business leaders, financial literacy training courses, Corporate Finance Institute trainings, and a volunteer day. Interns choose between one of two sessions. Session 1: May 25 - August 13 Session 2: June 14 - September 3 The UX Design Research Intern will work closely with the UX Research team and other cross-functional teams to learn how products are researched, designed, and delivered in a dynamic environment. The UX Research team supports product roadmap initiatives across multiple business units.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Must be a rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Must be available for the full 12-week internship program.
- Must be able to work onsite in San Diego, CA.
- Must successfully pass a credit check, criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening (including for marijuana).
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering market data, identifying trends, and analyzing competitor offerings to inform product decisions.
- Help maintain product documentation, update timelines, and track progress on roadmap initiatives.
- Support communication between product, IT, and design teams to ensure alignment on requirements and deliverables.
- Collect and organize product performance metrics; assist in preparing reports for leadership review.
- Help create user guides, training materials, and process documentation for new product features or system upgrades.
