About The Position

Join Axos Bank’s immersive 12-week Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience, contribute to enterprise initiatives, and develop professional skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven financial environment. Along with your day-to-day job duties, you will take part in a capstone project, sessions with our business leaders, financial literacy training courses, Corporate Finance Institute trainings, and a volunteer day. Interns choose between one of two sessions. Session 1: May 25 - August 13 Session 2: June 14 - September 3 The UX Design Intern will help the Consumer UX Design team with design system maintenance and UX design needs. The role offers hands-on experience in supporting the product development lifecycle from concept to launch. Interns will work closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to learn how products are researched, designed, and delivered in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
  • Must be a rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of UX design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship or project experience in UX design.
  • Familiarity with design systems.
  • Basic understanding of front-end development concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering market data, identifying trends, and analyzing competitor offerings to inform product decisions.
  • Help maintain product documentation, update timelines, and track progress on roadmap initiatives.
  • Support communication between product, IT, and design teams to ensure alignment on requirements and deliverables.
  • Collect and organize product performance metrics; assist in preparing reports for leadership review.
  • Help create user guides, training materials, and process documentation for new product features or system upgrades.
